Imagine a sky filled with parachutes of every color! Imagine airplanes,
balloons, helicopters and jets gracing the high blue arch over those canopies!
Imagine people from dozens of foreign countries and virtually every one of the
United States watching
as one after another of these exciting and daring athletes land, or glide
across a mirror blue pond! Imagine meeting these wonderfully diverse people and
getting to know their love of the clear blue sky! Imagine all of this in your
own backyard, and
you are a part of the excitement!
You don’t have to imagine at all, what you just heard described is the World
Free Fall Convention, and it will be returning to Rantoul, Illinois, August 1st
through the 10th, 2003! From sun-up to sun-down for ten colorful
days the WFFC will again make its
home by the Octave Chanute Air Museum on Century Drive.
Over 35,000 jumps were made in 2002, from a variety of aircraft including
Otters, Sky Vans, Casas, Balloons, a Bi Plane and a C-130 Cargo Jet. The Mecca
of skydiving, the WFFC has hosted and been featured by the Today Show, Good
Morning America, the Outdoor Channel, Discovery Wings and Nickelodeon. Perhaps
you have seen an action movie including skydiving clips that were filmed at the
WFFC.
Come and be a part of the World Free Fall Convention and witness this
spectacular event for yourself. Better yet, plan on taking a helicopter ride or
a balloon ride or for yourself! If you find you can’t get enough of the blue
skies schedule a Tandem Skydive and experience the thrill of flight for
yourself!
Perhaps you are the more sedate type and would prefer to enjoy the Convention
on terra firma! Feel free! The show starts when the sun comes up and the first
balloon lifts off, while Mike Mullins Super King Air delivers the first lift to
a sunrise jump! Bring your cameras, you
won’t find a more interesting kaleidoscope of colors anywhere! Pack a picnic
lunch or enjoy the cuisine of one of the many vendors on site.
The World Free Fall Convention is the premier Skydiving Event of the world, you
will not want to miss one minute of the excitement! If you, or your
organization would like more information on how you can be a part of the
Convention, visit us online at www.Freefall.com, or give us a call at 217 892
