The Message Board

The purpose of this message board is to help skydivers who plan to attend or who have attended the World Freefall Convention communicate with one another, especially those who may not know how to contact someone otherwise. Some examples of how we see this board being put to good use are: to find transportation to the convention, locate someone you met at a previous convention, find out if anyone found something you lost at a previous convention, etc.

Messages must be related to the World Free Fall Convention.

All messages must include YOUR REAL NAME & A VERIFIABLE EMAIL ADDRESS. All messages not containing contact info will be reviewed and potentially removed so Include your contact information!!!

The message board is not meant to be like the newsgroup rec.skydiving!!! If you want to sell something, do a gear deal, announce your web site, announce other skydiving events, complain, stir up trouble, be profane, or try to be funny, then please, news:rec.skydiving go there now!.

To insure that its contents are current and meaningful, this moderated message board will be treated like any sponsored bulletin board in a public place:
  • There will be a limited number of messages on the board, so the oldest messages will be replaced by newer messages.
  • Inappropriate messages will be removed as soon as discovered. (See above)

Note: Your I.P. address is recorded when you post.

Note to AOL users:

We appreciate your interest in participating in our online message board. However, we feel you should be aware of certain issues related to using the AOL service when participating.

Common problems include an inability to complete registration and/or to log in, and once in, to navigate and reply properly to posts. There are many reasons for this, with the chief one being proprietary rights between AOL and the internet at large. In other words, the AOL service/browser speaks one language, and the message board doesn't translate well with it.

The remedy, however, is quite simple. Use another browser. Connect to the internet with AOL, but once connected, minimize or close that browser and surf our message board with Netscape, Internet Explorer, or even Opera.

We look forward to hearing from you, and to seeing you in August!
